Debra Kostrzewski

Debra Kostrzewski, 71, of Argyle, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 30, 2026 at her home.

Debra Rae Przybylski was born on September 18, 1954 in Warren, MN, the daughter of Harry Sr. and Florence Jorgenson. Debra was raised in the Argyle area where she attended school. She met Julian “Sonny” Kostrzewski while he was working in the circus and they eloped shortly thereafter. They lived in Arkansas for a couple years before they made their home in Argyle. Debra worked as a waitress at several restaurants in Warren before going to work as a lab technician at American Crystal Sugar in East Grand Forks, MN. For the last several years, she worked at the Dairy Queen in Warren. Sonny died on November 17, 2021.

She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino where she won a PT Cruiser. Debbie loved being around family which included her friend and coworker, Carrie Anderson and her family.

Left to mourn her passing are her siblings, Jewell Kostrzewski of Argyle, MN, Christine (William) Hickey of Margate, FL, Sheryl Bergeron of Warren, MN, Romona (Mike) Schmidt of Alexandria, MN and Terry (Patty) Przybylski of Stephen, MN; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Carrie (Jeremy) Anderson and her children, Dylan (Kaitlyn) Stinar, Jordan Anderson and Lexi Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Harry Jr., Roger, David, Mark and Gail and sister, Celeste Sherlock.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before services.

INTERMENT: St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Argyle, MN
