Kimberly Mock, 65, of Warren, MN, a true fighter, died on February 8, 2026, in North Valley Health Center, after contending with Primary Lateral Sclerosis for nearly a decade.
Kimberly Ann Kittelson was born on New Years Eve of 1960, to Clarence and Myrna (McGarry) Kittelson, in Hammond, IN. When she was eight years old her family moved back to her parents' hometown in Bottineau, ND, and Kim graduated from the local high school in 1979. Kim's life revolved around family, and she began caring for children when she was sixteen, starting with her own daughter. Within a few years, she was incredibly busy, leading Girl Scouts and operating a daycare during the day- and dealing blackjack at night. In the years that followed, she was married twice more and had four more daughters: girls ran in the family. In 1994 she moved to Warren, where she seamlessly transitioned from caring for her daughters to her grandchildren (most of them granddaughters!). On September 14, 2002, she was married to Steven Mock, and the two enjoyed trucking together (Kim riding shotgun) when she wasn't working at Douglas Place rehabilitation or as a paraprofessional at the school.
In truth, Kim was a homebody and enjoyed being with her grandchildren the most. In October of 2016, she was diagnosed with PLS (like ALS but with a longer duration) and, having spent most of her life caring for others, had to learn to be cared-for. This had its challenges, like many things in Kim's life, but she never gave up the fight.
She leaves behind her husband, Steve; three daughters, Christy Flaata, Misty (Lucas) Erickson and Megan (Austin) Erdahl; nine grandchildren (with only two grandsons), Samantha, Zoe, MacKenzie, Kendra, Jordan, Breanna, Gracie, Lexi, and Karson; three great-grandchildren (with another two on-the-way), Kayson, Hudsynn, and Madalynn; her siblings, Linda (Wayne) Morgan, Rodney (Carolyn) Kittelson, Barb (Greg) Erickson, and Terry Kittelson.
There to meet her are two of her daughters, sisters, Mandi (d. Feb. 20, 2012 ) and Katie (d. Mar. 7, 2023) Kittleson; her parents, Clarence and Myrna; and sisters-in-law, Cathy Mock and Becky Kasprowicz.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM, in Zion Lutheran Church (LCMS) of Warren, MN.
